The first in the series of 4 limited release bottles by the Scapegrace distillery. A limited run of 4,548 bottles this whisky is made from New Zealand Laureate grain and as aged in virgin French oak casks. Scapegraces Master Distiller, Anthony Lawry, describes the whisky as having flavours of cinnamon and cloves with a rich creamy vanilla and buttered toast finish. The whisky reaches back longer than the Scapegrace distillery itself as Doug and Anthony started making this whisky long before Scapegrace put its branding on the barrels.

After the winter thaw, we look to the fresh new season of produce in Central Otago to extract ripe, crisp and clean flavours. The extraction of floral and crisp stone fruit elements from the early new harvest is concentrated bringing to note some lesser known flavours from our favourite fruit and botanicals.
