They Trekked down to Central Otago to find the very best expression of Pinot Noir. Having had quite a lot of experience with fruit from the area, for us the sub-region of Gibbston shows Pinot Noir in its most finest form, and therefore we went on a mission to source fruit from a stunning little pocket just underneath the very dramatic and imposing Nevis Bluff. Like thier whites; structure, acidity, texture and an element of savouriness are the watchwords that are transposed into this wine, with that classic Gibbston nose of wild herb and briar.

Definitive of the Pisa subregion with plush red fruits, black doris plum, bright acidity and a supple yet structured tannin profile. Drinking well now but with the ability to age in bottle.

A complex, meduim-bodied wine showing hints of mocha, choc-mint and vanilla, which flow through to the lengthy, fruity, peppery and spicy finish

Centuries of history and territory, encapsulated in and narrated by a wine that is famous the world over. You read Chianti, and you think of the hills, villages, parish churches and farmhouses where time has stood still since the peak era of beauty and taste, keeping them intact and authentic. This Chianti has a deep ruby colour, with reasonable depth and 'legs' indicating good structure. Perfumes of cherries and fresh red fruit, mingle with spicy, peppery notes. Lively and fresh in the mouth, with soft, rounded tannins. Good intensity, attractive structure and fine, long length.

Sangiovese 85%, Merlot 10% and other red grapes 5%. Red in colour, with rich chromatic nuances and a distinctly fruity bouquet where the cherry tone is mitigated by a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. The flavour reflects the spicy undertone of the aroma and is balanced by a fine tannic note. The wine is refined by placing it in French oak casks for 10 months.

Nice, vibrant ruby red colour. Sweetly scented and classically "Martinborough" with a nice balance of red cherry, pretty florals and savoury, earthy notes. A delicious array of ripe and succulent red berry/cherry flavours and layers. Lovely spice and quite a lot of fruit and oak sweetness on the finish, complimented nicely by silky tannins and delicate acidity. Nice, fresh and youthful Pinot Noir expression. Great drinking now and will cellar nicely for 5 plus years. Food match with braised rabbit pappardelle.
