This wine has enticing, lifted fruit aromas of red currant and cherry fruits with a touch of spice and a very subtle minty, menthol character. Medium-bodied with flavours of ripe cherry and light red berry fruits along with savoury toast and sweet spice. The palate is soft and silky. Subtle oak characters of cinnamon and cedar add to the overall complexity.

For TWR's main blend of Pinot Noir they prefer the flavour profiles from the southern side of Marlborough - this sub-region is called the Southern Valleys or Southern Clays. The soil types in this area of Marlborough are much older than the Wairau flood plain, they also have much lower fertility and a much higher clay component which gives the wines more depth and structure.

TWR made this Pinot Noir from the esteemed Clayvin vineyard, it's labelled under SV5096 designation which recognises its organic certification and its special status as one of their SV wines. TWR feel very privileged to be allowed to have some fruit from this very special part of Marlborough's history. The Clayvin Vineyard was first established, at the top of the Brancott Valley, in 1991 and was the first significant hillside vineyard in Marlborough. It is now under the careful custodianship of the Giesen family and is fully certified organic with BioGro NZ.

Central Otago is home to New Zealand's largest high country sheep stations. The original shepherds who worked these stations have moved on, yet their spirit remains. The Last Shepherd celebrate these men with this Central Otago Pinot Noir. Medium ruby red, exhibiting vibrant dark berry aromas with hints of spice and smoke. The Ned Pinot Noir - Delicious aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry liquorice and dried oregano with a fragrant all spice lift. The fleshy, sweet-fruited palate boasts opulent tannins, notes of smoky French oak and a long juicy finish.

This elegantly structured Pinot Noir from Marlborough's southern Awatere Valley displays aromatic layers of red fruit and spicy florals that lead to mouth-filling flavours of cherry, plum and finely integrated French oak. This vibrant Triplebank Pinot Noir has lifted aromas of blueberry, raspberry and liquorice coupled with hints of anise and earthy forest. On the palate the fresh raspberry, cherry and plum flavours carry through, supported by a generous texture with silky tannins and hints of savoury oak. The concentration of flavours leads to a long satisfying finish. The richness of this Pinot Noir makes it well suited to a variety of meat or game dishes, particularly where savoury flavours abound.
