Just because you don't want a beer, it doesn't mean you don't want a beer. So, Emerson's brewed you a beer. Inspired by the big bold flavours of Bird Dog IPA, but without the bite. Little Bird is an alcohol free IPA, with a deliciously-puritanical, true expression of the hop flavour. It's so tasty, you won't even realise you're not drinking. Until the morning, of course. Dry hopped using New Zealand and USA hops for a super-fresh, super vibrant aroma, with a super-crisp, super-quenching finish.

The 2024 Bird of the Year is now also the Bird with a Beer. Emerson's love their Hoiho there in Dunedin and they are proud to have played a part in turning its yellow eyes gold, for the second time. People's Penguin is easy drinking, with vibrant notes of stone fruit, and a biscuity malt backbone. It features local Garston Rakau hops, and Riwaka Amplifire hop oil from Clayton. The Orange Roughy's scientific name is Hoplostethus atlanticus. Which roughly translates as, hazy, hoppy pale ale with a tropical fruit aroma, citrus flavour, and malty backbone. In the past, the roughy has been subject to unsustainable practices - completely selling out. Thanks to the hard work of our brewers, numbers are now on the rise. Careful you don't exceed your quota, though.

If you've been mowing your super-long lawn, running super-fast, or out in the super-hot sun, you'll need to super-quench your super-thirst. This Pacific Pilsner has been dry-hopped with NZ and US hops to make it super-tasty, while it's light body and crisp finish make it super-refreshing. At just 4% ABV, and 40% lower in carbs, you can feel slightly-smug, too.

It turns out, Hunterville is a pretty funky place. Home to the first-ever commercial brewer's yeast isolated from the New Zealand wilderness, that goes by the name of Wilding. A funky, fruity farmhouse ale, with a hint of spice, light malt, and a subtle hoppy finish. Froth Technologies approached us asking if we wanted to be involved in this project and we jumped at the opportunity to be the first brewery to use this new, native, commercial beer yeast isolate. This yeast was captured with an air trap on the banks of the Rangitikei River.

A Low Carb beer that just isn't about being low carb, it is about the flavour. It is a Low Carb Pale Ale that has the incredible hop aroma and hop flavour you expect from a typical Epic beer. Luke Nicholas owner/founder of Epic Brewing Company says 'we were shocked when reading that Low Carb beer sales were greater than the total Craft Beer market in New Zealand. On hearing this I could feel the pain of a great number of drinkers who were drinking low carb, but at the cost of a really delicious beer. It was time to help them out, as we did back in 2005 when we helped the whole of the New Zealand beer market with the wonderfully dry hopped Epic Pale Ale'.

After the massive success of Blue Low Carb Pale Ale Epic now have a Hazy joining their low carb family. Crush is a fresh and fruity hazy pale ale with full flavour and 75% less carbs than their Joose Party Hazy Pale Ale.

High Voltage is a hazy IPA that's all about harnessing the energy of two powerhouse hops: Citra and Mosaic. Epic have used an 'Epic' amount of hops as you would expect from them. Epic have the biggest, juiciest, stickiest Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops they could find. A blend of T90 and Cryo hops to give the maximum desired aromas and flavours. It's like drizzling freshly squeezed passion fruit, mango and pineapple juice across your tongue. 5.3% alc/vol and a super low bitterness and maximum haze, will keep every Hazy-Head happy with being able to sit down and drink a few from the six pack.

Picture this: a brainstorming session for a hazy beer, and the sky's the limit. They glance out, and there it is - a canvas of billowing clouds against a brilliant summer sky. And, of course, there's a nod to Brucey, their hippy accomplice who helped them snag the ex-Air Chathams Convair 580 (ZK-CIE). The label?
